AC Milan Over the Years
Milan’s first official encounter was in the Third Federal Football Championship, the predecessor to Serie A, where they lost 3–0 to Torino. Milan’s largest victory was 13–0 against Audax Modena during the 1914–15 league season. In the division during the 1922–1923 season, Bologna handed it its worst defeat, a 0–8 defeat.
During the 1991–92 season, the squad won the Serie A title without losing a game. Only Perugia had previously gone undefeated throughout an entire Serie A season (1978–79), but finished second in the standings.
Milan’s unbeaten streak spanned 58 games, beginning with a 0–0 draw against Parma on 26 May 1991 and concluding coincidentally with a 1–0 defeat to Parma at home on 21 March 1993. This is a Serie A record and the third-longest unbeaten streak in the top division of European football, behind Steaua București’s 104 game streak and Celtic’s 68 game streak.
Milan, along with Boca Juniors, has won 18 FIFA-recognized international club titles since 2007, more than any other club in the world. After winning the 2014 CAF Confederation Cup, they were eclipsed by Al Ahly SC of Egypt.
