Football Club Internazionale Milano is an Italian professional football club with its home field in Milan, Lombardy. Since it made its debut in 1909, Inter has been the only Italian team to have always competed in the top division of Italian football.
Their rivalry with AC Milan, with whom they compete in the Derby della Madonnina, and with Juventus, with whom they compete in the Derby d’Italia, is one of the most enduring rivalries in football. As of 2019, Inter has the sixth-largest attendance in Europe and the greatest home game attendance in Italy.

Inter Milan Over the Years
The Derby d’Italia, which refers to games between the two teams, is the other major rivalry; it is with Juventus. The two Italian teams were the only ones to never have competed outside of Serie A until the 2006 Italian football scandal, which resulted in Juventus’ relegation. Since 2006, the two teams have also faced off in four Supercoppa Italiana finals and five Coppa Italia finals. Other clubs, like as Atalanta and Napoli, are also seen as competitors.
Inter has won 35 domestic championships, including 19 times in the Serie A, 9 times in the Coppa Italia, and 7 times in the Supercoppa Italiana. Before Juventus won its sixth straight league victory in 2017, the club’s five consecutive league championships from 2006 to 2010 tied the all-time record.
They have won the UEFA Champions League three times: twice back-to-back in 1964 and 1965, and then once more in 2010. The most recent victory, which they combined with the Coppa Italia and the Scudetto to complete an unheard-of Italian triple, was their third. The team has also won three UEFA Europa League, two Club League, and one FIFA Club World Cup.
In the entire history of Italian football, Inter has never been relegated from the top division. Since its debut in 1909, it has been the only club to have competed in Serie A and its predecessors in every season.
